PowerLink® Hydraulic Dynamometer Introduction

PowerLink® GW Series Eddy current dynamometer is the devices used for engine testing. They are used for characteristic investigations in middle and small power rating machines, vehicles, internal combustion engines, gas turbine, engineering machines, the machines used in farming industry, mining industry and fuel oil industry, etc. Eddy Current Dynamometer also acts as the power drive and power absorption equipment.

Hydraulic Dynamometer Property Curve



The power testing curve indicates the maximum and minimum absorption power under different rotational speeds. It is composed of five sections, OABCD:

OA curve reveals the dynamometer maximum absorption power with the change of speed under certain water pressure.

AB line reveals the dynamometer maximum absorption power with the change of speed under the maximum dynamometer torque.

AC line (SG20) and BC line reveals the dynamometer maximum absorption power which is not exceeding the dynamometer maximum water exhaust temperature.

CD line reveals the dynamometer maximum speed limit

OD curve reveals the brake power which the dynamometer is not fully filled with water.

The area in curve OACDO (SG20) and OABCDO reflects the absorption power under that hydraulic dynamometer model.
